Ping Tian Resort
Phase I slated to open November 2008 boasting "China's first world class, luxury ski resort" in Xinjiang provinces Tianshan mountain range.

I can find information from one year ago, but nothing from a more recent date??
I am currently staying in Urumqi and am a big skiing fan, so the little hills they call skiing fields here are not really a challenge. I read about this new area but no information.

Does anybody know if the area is already open, or is it close to opening?

Hmmm, I really hope somebody can give us some more information.

I tried to contact one of the marketing managers by email, but no reply.
On the website of the resort the last message is from one year ago!! I really wonder if this project has been cancelled or (again) delayed. I hope not beacuse I am really looking forward to skiing there.

Dear All, I contacted the resort and according to their sales department they expect to start in 2009. If you want to keep up with the most updated information you may send them an email and wait for their reply. They replied promptly.
