Hi All,

I am really interested to sleep over on the Great Wall during my trip to Beijing. I have seen reviews for a tour from a Beijing company and it looks great and I've only heard good things so far:

Has any one slept over on the Wall before, I am curious to hear!

This sounds interestings. I have been to The Great Wall 3 times but have not stayed over. If the local authority has no prob, this is a wonderful idea. Which Wall are you planning to go? The Badaling is very popular with tourists and very commercialized and I wouldn't recommend it. Try Mutianyi or the Simakuan sections (hopefully they are not closed for refurbishment). I can ask friends in Beijing if you need some info.

"Hiking from Gubeikou to Jinshanling and spend night on the Wall, and the next day hiking to Simatai",----->It's a good way...isn't it? And my price is reasonable.
2 days hiking: CNY 520 each people, that including 2 days great wall tickets,2 days guide

1 day hiking,Jinshanling to Simatai: CNY 400 each.
