On August 2nd 2009 at the adidas King of the Road around Shah Alam Stadium Gary Robert died. Organized by adidas Malaysia, this event turned tragic by the negligence of the organizer.

Gary's body was found at the end of a construction waste tunnel in the stadium over 24 hours after being given minimal medical attention after the race.

With no official statement I can find on the part of adidas, I must assume they are hoping their silence will make the tragic set of events go away.

Please make sure they don't!

There is a website dedicated to seeking justice for the death of Gary Robert and trying to safeguard future runners to poorly organized events.
