I *much* prefer cycling to trekking: you cover more ground & can skip the less thrilling scenery whilst stopping at the more stunning; and there's the obvious enjoyment of the downhills (which would otherwise be murder on my knees if walking).
And whilst I've toured several countries on bike, it never occured to me to try it in Nepal because of (a) the elevation, and (b) my image of Nepal has always been one steep peak after another... and far from bike-friendly.
But if it's realistic, then that would be a great vacation - thanks Sprockett. I will google it but any recommendations or tips you have are much appreciated too. Cheers.

I've met some pretty hardcore guys & girls over on Lantau training for adventure races and even ran into one guy who claims to train thrice a day during the week. But would be interesting to hear how much other people are training regularly or in the lead up to events ?
Cheers.

I've delayed visiting Nepal for far too many years now. The main reason being that I've read & heard from numerous sources that you need at least 3 weeks in order to do the good hikes.
Working a corporate job with very limited annual leave, the most time I can take is 2 weeks. How much can you really see & do in 2 weeks, or even 10 days (leaving on a friday & taking the following week off) ?
Thank you very much.
